Re: supplies in germany

Thank you, jojo. If you like, come to Hamburg for my course April 01 / 02 (see details on my website). The only course with open access this year, and as the Museum cooperates with the Volkshochschule the price is sensationally low. Paste paper is another world from amrbling, promise! You'll learn l...

Re: supplies in germany

Hi Jojo,

as you can see when visting my website, I don't marble. Acrylics is not my material of choice except for beginners' courses, so I'm afraid I can't help you there.

Best,
Susanne Krause

Re: supplies in germany

Hi Jojo,

I suspect that you need more support than just where to get which materials, and suggest to get in touch with Dirk Lange at http://www.handmarmorpapier.de and book a course. Dirk is the best of the best and a brilliant teacher.

Re: Paste Paper on Pintrest

A beautiful collection to show the versatility of paste paper techniques (thanks for the post, John Ang!), and that even although only very few of the samples are made by trained, professional hands and technically irreproachable. If you now make a mental note on that what you see is an estimated 1%...

Re: House paint

Hi Marc, in all probability house paint is not a good idea not only because of the additives but, most of all, because house paints are ground to a much coarser grade than artists's paints. That's just fine for walls as they, once put into place, will stay in place until the end but useless for deco...

Re: Knocking on the Door

First, I'd like to see a scan. Then, I'd be particularly interested in learning what your plates are made of and which base paper in which format you use. You see, brocade paper has been in my mind for decades and I've tried to make someone interested to try their hand for quite a long time now. But...

Announcing a new book, new info

On Jake Benson's suggestion, I'm posting here information about my newly released book. New infos: It is now a fact that the book is available from Oak Knoll. Didn't manage to add files of the cover and a few pages to browse. Please feel free to contact me privately in case you're interested. Best S...

Re: Knocking on the Door

Hello Ludwig,

your mentioning brocade paper is most intriguing, are you ready to tell more?

New start

Hi All, I'm Susanne Krause from Hamburg / Germany, professional paper decorator, part time publisher and hoping for lively discussions and the occasional hot debate on this new venue (thanks, John Ang!) after years of the doldrums on the Yahoo! site. My techniques are the traditional European mix of...
